Classic spanish collector folding knife Mozárabe Julián Galván of 10 centimeters blade with handle of authentic Spanish deer horn with internal spring forged, lime carving with one-piece twisted lock on the spring with solid forged carbon steel billet with double bolster of silver-plated nickel silver decorated with Punching work entirely by hand with convex head pin-axis. Blade made of forged steel Mova made by Julián Galván Hellín in Santa Cruz de Mudela, currently deceased since 1997.

This knife is handmade entirely beginning from zero, the inner linings that are made of steel are cut, the four pieces of deer horn for these linings are measured and the size of the blade is calculated according to the handle. The middle and upper part of the handle are provided with both bolsters or reinforcements of the handle that, when nailed, come to the most robust knife. So,

These bolsters are also made entirely by hand and inclined in their union part with the shaft so that the fit is perfect. Subsequently, the blade of the previously forged knife is mounted and the bolsters and the spring of the knife are installed, which previously has been mounted with its billet or lock also made of solid, non-hollow steel. This “Mozarabic” folding knife model was made following the patterns of the time of the Arabs who lived in the Iberian Peninsula converted to Christianity.

The classic Spanish folding knife has its origin in the late sixteenth century in Spain, after the prohibition promulgated by Carlos I to carry long-bladed weapons (especially swords) to people who were not of the nobility. The classic folding knife made it possible to hide the blade; besides being small, it was manageable and cheaper than a sword.

Due to being collectible pieces and being made entirely by hand with natural materials, there may be tolerances of the horns with which the handles are made that make each piece unique and singular
